yesterday I completedd my walking goal and today it is pouring with rain - so I am having a rest as i am lucky enough to have a warm dry bed. It is time to have a lay da has y as My joints and muscles are aching a little. However, i am feeling well at the end and will continue the walks. it also been of benefit to others and will continue the good work. My family used them after the house was inundated in Lismore twice in succession years 2 ago. It was here that they ran the service day and night to aid those there with no power no water and horrible mud everywhere. they do a magnificent job. May the light continue to shine on them. Thank you all who have so generally donated to help them do so.For the pleasure of walking in the early morning
I have been rising earlier - just like I used to, before the children rose. There is no better time than perhaps sunset. i am so pleased that this pleasure awaits, why linger. I am pleased that this recreated for me has been helpful to others.Womadlaide walks
Wonderful walking around Adelaide and Womadelaidewalking the walk at Womadelaide today
Walking around Kensinton Adelaide - an early morning walk in a heatwave and then as it cools down off to Womadelaide with a very handy Orange Sky drink bottlesuch a great thing to do - and so pleased to have been able
the walking and the monitoring have been so good for me. Getting up to see the dawn and then an evening beach walk . Ive been often seeing the sunrise and set.Day 3
Thanking Orange Sky for the lovely walksDay 3
I have been going for 2wks a dayI have had a quiet week walking as I have been travelling and been unwell but am happy that I can walk the walk over March if I continue to be fit and well during it
I am feeling good walking and have been able to keep up the momentum except for feeling a little ill for a few days. I hope March I am in better health.Over the last three or 4 days i have been walking to gain fitness for the March in March
During this time I will turn 80 and would like to make a difference to those who are, mostly through circumstances beyond their control, without a roof over their head, without a shower a washing machine a bathroom and kitchen. In our town Liberation Larder and Orange Sky make such a difference. We have a very high proportion of homeless here and good facilities. Long may it be so. I have some idea of what this could be like and am so happy to be of help. Thankyou all for yours. The walking is going well and i will be I hope striding into March and my 80'sI have changed my target to $1000
As I am nearly thereToday is the day I start to walk for Orange Sky
It has been pouring to date ,I'm walking for the 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness
Right now, there are 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness. That's 1 in 210 people.
This March, I will be taking part in Walk the Walk and going the distance for the 122,000 people doing it tough in our community.
I'm walking to raise funds for Orange Sky's vital work providing connection through clean laundry, warm showers, and genuine conversation.
Please support my walk to positively connect communities and support people who need it the most.
Together, we can show Aussies experiencing homelessness they're not alone.
