Great question! All the funds you raise will directly support Orange Sky's Australian services, providing free laundry, warm showers and the opportunity for conversation and connection. With over 37 locations providing services, we need your help to continue this important service to our friends doing it tough.

Every Australian deserves the right to have a home

The causes of homelessness are numerous and complex. Homelessness can be caused by poverty, unemployment or by a shortage of affordable housing, or it can be triggered by family breakdown, mental illness, sexual assault, addiction, financial difficulty, gambling or social isolation. Domestic violence is the single biggest cause of homelessness in Australia.

What this means is that homelessness is a product of many other human rights abuses.

We need to work towards eliminating the reasons why people become homeless in the first place, and support people experiencing homelessness to find more permanent living solutions

I'm walking for the 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness

Right now, there are 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness. That's 1 in 210 people.

This March, I will be taking part in Walk the Walk and going the distance for the 122,000 people doing it tough in our community.

I'm walking to raise funds for Orange Sky's vital work providing connection through clean laundry, warm showers, and genuine conversation.
