Day 30

Today we traded steps for cycling and managed to appreciate all things Ulladulla! Such beautiful scenery.. fabulous water views everywhere we went .. and great coffee at the Marina. Truly blessed! 1 day to go!

Day 29

Ulladulla .. what a beautiful little secret .. white sandy beaches .. blue crashing waves .. a beautiful sense of peace is here today .. Good Friday.  2 days to go now and 9km to complete. ☺️

Day 27

Fabulous walking along the beach at The Entrance yesterday. Amazing waves, sand and rock formations! Another 5km done! I can’t believe this challenge is almost over. 😍

Day 25

Finally blogging after a crazy busy week and a half back in Oz!  Still managed to get some steps in although today has been the first relaxed preplanned walk since Colorado! Blessed to have walked along Kirra Beach at Coolangatta up to Snapper Rocks and back. Stunning watching the surfers catching some waves!

Day 13

A hectic couple of days travelling from Colorado back to Aus had meant I’ve been a little out of whack! Have still squeezed in a few kms here and there. Hopefully back on track tomorrow once the jet lag passes! 1st world problems! Still committed!

Day 10

3 people and one pooch walking around Centennial Colorado today. Beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Enjoying what is probably one of my last walks in the US. Totally encouraged today by a donation from one of our boys overnight! 50km’s into my 122 goal now!

Day 9

Oh my goodness it’s cold in Colorado today!! Woke up to it snowing which continued until after lunch, so the walker it was today! Fortunately I have that option!  Grateful yet again for having a warm home to stay cosy in. Thinking of people on the streets today.

Day 8

Today was a big day with us going dog sledding, so I only squeezed in some light walking around Breckenridge. Beautiful place to see on foot though!! Stunning!

Day 7

5.5km around the beautiful parks of Centennial Colorado again today.  This time with my beautiful sister Cathy! She showed me where I can walk to get coffee, salads and best of all good sushi!! Next time it might be a lunch time walk! 🤣

Day 6

6.2km done today in -2 degree temps!! I think we will be looking forward to a bit of warmth back in Aus! 2 big hills today was definitely testing but worthwhile once done!! I learned a lot yesterday about the leading causes of homelessness along with many other interesting facts which I look forward to sharing with my supporters!

Day 5

5.68 km around Centennial Colorado today. No prairie dogs today but did manage to find plenty of local geese and ducks! Oh .. and a fancy train station! Last night in Denver we passed a homeless man on the street. He obviously was lonely, and needed a shower and laundry facilities. So glad I am supporting this amazing cause!

Day 4

Another 5.85km done! A little bit of snow overnight made the ground here so pretty again! Loved visiting the prairie dogs! They were really putting on a show today with lots of their little heads popping up out of the ground. So grateful to have a warm bed to sleep in at night, which some unfortunately don’t. Staying focused for the end goal!

Day 3

Only a little bit of walking today .. did manage to stay active and go snow mobiling for the first time though! #blessed!

Day 2

5.38km done and dusted! Beautiful warm Colorado weather this morning! The squirrels were out and the sun was shining!! No getting lost today!  🐿️

I'm walking for the 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness

Right now, there are 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness. That's 1 in 210 people.

This March, I will be taking part in Walk the Walk and going the distance for the 122,000 people doing it tough in our community.

I'm walking to raise funds for Orange Sky's vital work providing connection through clean laundry, warm showers, and genuine conversation.

Please support my walk to positively connect communities and support people who need it the most.

Together, we can show Aussies experiencing homelessness they're not alone.

My Impact

I've raised $481 so far to provide clean laundry, warm showers and genuine conversation to 20 people experiencing homelessness in our community.
